terms of use                  Privacy Policy                  mSurvey Audience

Thank you for being a part of mSurvey! mSurvey respects the contributions and protects the privacy of all its participants.  Below we describe what we expect of each mSurvey audience member (“Member”) and what we provide in exchange (Terms and Conditions) as well as an explanation of how we protect the information provided through our surveys (Privacy Policy). We continually update this information so check back frequently for any changes.

Terms and Conditions

When you register to be a Member, you will receive surveys periodically based on a random selection of all mSurvey Members.  These surveys will ask questions developed by clients of mSurvey to better understand the opinions and behaviors of the public.

By registering to be a Member, you agree:

  • To provide true and accurate information
  • To respond to each survey only once as a single individual (i.e., not through duplicate SIM cards)
  • That you are at least 18 years of age

As a Member, you will continue to receive surveys until: 1) you choose to opt out of the panel by replying to a survey with STOP, 2) you have been inactive for a period of 12 months, or 3) you consistently provide false or misleading information.

Depending on the survey design, you may receive an incentive after completing a survey. The incentive amount, if any, will be specified in the consent message you receive before starting a survey. Once you complete a survey that includes an incentive, you will receive a text message confirming that your incentive was distributed. If you do not receive the incentive or feel the incentive you received was in error, you can reply to the SMS survey with the word HELP or by email at support@msurvey.co.

Disclaimer

By signing up for mSurvey you agree to indemnify and hold mSurvey harmless for all damages that result from your participation as a Member. Under no circumstances will mSurvey be responsible for any loss or damage incurred by any Member.

Privacy Policy

What information is collected by mSurvey?

When you register with the mSurvey  as a Member, you will provide your phone number and be asked to specify your gender, year of birth, and the area where you live.  This information will be used to contact you for future surveys and to provide data on your demographic background.  The only personally identifiable information we collect from you is your phone number when you register.  The phone number is separated from your survey responses both virtually and physically to guarantee anonymity.

mSurvey connects you with people interested in gathering anonymous information. We screen users before allowing them to send out surveys and provide them with parameters on appropriate question content but are otherwise not able to directly control the types of questions being asked. As a result, we are not responsible for the question content.

How is this information used by mSurvey?

The goal of mSurvey is to provide a channel for expressing the opinions of the public; we are not in the business of selling data. Your phone number will not be sold, shared or used for any other purpose than to contact you to take a survey.  When you respond to a survey, your anonymized responses will be used to inform the objectives of mSurvey’s clients who range from academic researchers to large and small private companies. mSurvey may also use this information in aggregate to better understand our user base or to improve our service.

How is this information protected?

Your mobile phone number, demographic information, and survey responses are temporarily stored on mSurvey’s servers which are exclusively on AWS cloud-based technology. The servers are physically located in the Continental United States. mSurvey does not store this data indefinitely but only long enough to be able to back up any information we collect. Access by our clients to anonymized survey responses is password protected using overlapping security features including encrypted secret passwords. In the event that mSurvey is legally compelled to disclose personally identifiable information of a Member to a third party, mSurvey will attempt to notify you unless doing so would interfere with a law enforcement investigation, violate the law or court order.

mSurvey cannot prevent others from seeing your mobile phone so you are responsible for maintaining the secrecy and security of the survey responses on your mobile device. Be sure to keep responses on your phone private and if desired, delete your surveys from your phone after completing the survey.

If you have any additional questions about this information please feel free to contact us by responding to a survey with the word HELP or by email at support@msurvey.co.
